Terms of Use

These terms govern your use of this website and of a staff account on it, run by Vinland Motorsport Inc. ("we", "us"). By creating an account or using the site you agree to them and to our Privacy Policy.

1. Who can have an account

Accounts are for people who help run the club's results. You must be 18 or older. A new account has no access until an administrator approves it, and we may refuse, suspend or remove any account at any time, including for misuse or inactivity.

2. Your account

  • Give a real email address that you control.
  • Keep your password private and use one that you do not use anywhere else. You are responsible for activity under your account.
  • Tell us promptly if you think someone else has used your account.

3. What you may do

Use the staff tools only to post and manage the club's events, results and standings, honestly and accurately. You must not:

  • post anything false, unlawful, defamatory or that infringes someone else's rights or privacy;
  • post personal information about a person (beyond a name and result already shown to participants) without their agreement;
  • upload malicious files, or try to access accounts, data or systems you are not allowed to;
  • disrupt or overload the site, or try to get around its security.

4. What you post

You keep ownership of what you post. You give the club a free, non-exclusive licence to store, display and publish it on this website for as long as it is posted. You confirm that you have the right to post it. We may edit or remove content at our discretion.

5. Results and information on this site

Results, standings and schedules are provided in good faith for information. They may contain errors or change without notice (dates and venues in particular). Taking part in an event is governed by that event's own registration terms, waiver and rules, not by these terms.

6. Our responsibility

The site is provided "as is". To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss arising from your use of the site. Nothing in these terms limits any right or liability that cannot be limited under the laws of Canada or Newfoundland and Labrador, including consumer-protection law.

7. Ending your account

You may delete your account at any time under My account. We may suspend or end accounts as described above. Sections that by their nature should continue (such as 4 and 6) continue after an account ends.

8. Changes

We may update these terms. We will change the version number above and ask staff to agree to the new version before they continue. If you do not agree, delete your account.

9. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Newfoundland and Labrador and the federal laws of Canada that apply there. Disputes are for the courts of that province.
